Yeaman available in 2008!

Post by ancientnloyal »

Been reading the League Weekly and it says that Hull FC look 'resigned to allowing Kirk Yeaman to speak to other clubs about a contract for 2008'.

Now then... no enws if Vaealiki will get an extension - he may want to go back to Oz... so:

FB: Withers
W: calders
W: Richards
C: Yeaman
C: Goulding

(Bailey replace Fletcher)

I'd love Yeaman in our squad for 2008. I doubt he'll want mega-bucks - certainly less than Vazza.

He's not had a good couple of seasons though.

He has gone backwards this year and seems to have bulked up a tad too much. I would have thought a tall lean centre is the ideal partner to Goulding. Personally, I would like to see Matt Cooper sign. St George are struggling, we have the Trent link.

The dream would be Gasnier :) just a dream though.

If we are going to sign a centre, then I personally would sign Atkins from Wakefield. An up and coming youngster with bags of potential. However, I think we should concentrate on signing a full-back with the departure of Ashton at the end of the season and making sure we sign a prop or even 2 forwards to make sure our pack for 2008 is tip-top. Centre wise, I think Goulding should be promoted and have a regular spot in the 1st team. He's scored a few tries this season given the opportunity and he's still only 19.

in todays league express it said that wigan have emerged as favourites to sign jason ryles, but only dream about gasnier as he has said he would sign for us twice before then decided against it, but who knows with barrett here now.

if we sign ryles we would have no quota spot for gasnier or cooper
