Millenium Magic styled event in Paris???
I have an idea. Knowing about Dublin and Edinburgh wanting to host a Millenium Magic styled event in the future, and Cardiff pencilled in for two more years... would it be a good idea to have the same weekend concept in Paris at St Denis? Stade de France?
If anyone has been here its an awesome stadium and very easy to get to from the airport and indeed metro/road/rail from the city centre. The only downfall probably be the airfares and Eurotunnel prices but it certainly will attract a number of French supporters of the old St Germain team and expand the game in Europe (Holland, Belgium, Germany) a few hours drive away also. Could get 60,000 over the weekend. Would be better than Edinburgh!

Dublin would be nice... the obvious BEER attraction and we can regenerate Morecambe and Heysham while we're ferrying it across. we used to play the odd game in Douglas Isle of man didnt we? haha

I'd love Dublin; it's always been one of my favourite cities.

Barcelona seems a better idea in terms of promoting League amongst the Catalans.

Barcelona is a good idea but Dublin sounds even better to me
oh that Guinness tastes a lot better there , believe you me :slee: :slee: :slee:

Wigan is and always will be a town of Cherry & White

I think they should just forget the whole disastrous Millenium Tragic idea!
To answer the original question you can't keep dragging the game all over the place. There is already an away fixture to France. If Les cats want to play that somewhere else OK but not another round of SL lost on an expensive folly.
I wish the RFL would put as much effort into promoting the international game as they have done the MM weekend.
I received 24 publicity emails from the RFL on it which is far more then I have over any other RL event and at the end of the day these were simply normal league fixtures with nothing more than two points at stake.
They have got their priorities wrong IMO.

We need to spend the money spent on pointless weekends like that on getting a team in Cumbria, where much talent is being wasted. To hell with the french and cockneies IMO!
