Does football not bore the pants of everyone? Occasionally I'll watch a football match hoping to see some of the talented, hard working football players I remember watching when I was little.
I was reading an article before the FA Cup Final about the previous time Chelsea and Manchester United met at Wembley. The following players played for Manchester United:
Peter Schmeichel
Paul Parker
Steve Bruce (C)
Gary Pallister
Denis Irwin
Ryan Giggs
Roy Keane
Paul Ince
Andrei Kanchelskis
Eric Cantona
Mark Hughes
Substitutes:
Gary Walsh
Lee Sharpe
Brian McClair
Note - Only three are not from the British Isles.
All those players were hard working, class players. Eric Cantona was a bit of an odd-ball but how many of those players would deliberately cheat to win a game? No Ronaldos or Drogbas diving at every opportunity, mostly hard grafters.
Football these days is about celebrities, who earns the most money each week and who can out cheat their opponent to the greatest extent. That's the main reason I started watch rugby league. The best thing I ever did!

Re: Poor Liverpool!!!!
Who cares if they were the better side or not. They were dominated for 114 minutes 2 years ago and stole the cup thanks to a display of refereeing that would've made Ganson embarrassed.
Glad for their hooligan supporters that they lost. They stopped pushing down gates for a few years after Hillsbrough but have been doing it again for years.
They're another disaster waiting to happen and ,of course, someone else will be to blame as always.
Absolute vermin.
