Leuluai seems to be avoiding the major criticism from the fans at the moment but he was one of the worst players against Wakefield and the more I watch him the more I think........Denis Moran the second.

His defence is very very poor, most of his attempts to tackle are missed timed, his technique it to try and shoulder charge players to the ground and he runs around like a headless chicken.

The most he offers in attack is a few side steps which usually result in nothing. He has done one or two good passes and good kicks but they are few and far between.

2 Questions:
- When was the last time he made a clean break?
- Is he doing anything one of the Coyles couldn't do?

I must admit was very excited to see Leuluai come to us, though he has struggled to shine. With trent barrett I thought he would be quality. Still I guess grandad millard is getting the headlines so keeps the heat off lulu

As with a lot of players so far flattered to deceive

For a long time peaople have disagreed with me on LULU! he's not cutting the mustard!

Trent is taking all the preasure in the team, so none on Lulu, he should be doing a lot more.

Very dissapointed with him, fear he is another Moran.

For me we have let better players go in his position. No suprise there, as it does seem to be a common occurance.

I think his defence is a real concern. Coaches are telling their players to run at him its obvious to see. When he goes out toward the left centres in defence and the opposition are close to our line he is the obvious one they target.

Going forward he is OK but is not setting the world on fire. He has put in a few good kicks but he has yet to convince me a combination of Orr at scrum half and Barrett at stand off would not have been better for the team.

So jury still out for me.

I still don't know about Leuluai.

I thought he was very busy in the last two home games, and worked well as a link in the attacking line. But to be honest, I expect more creativity from a scrum-half - and my biggest disappointment about him is that he isn't a serious problem for the defence and he doesn't draw any markers away from Barrett.

Defensively, he puts in a lot of tackles and his front-on defense is strong. But he often drifts too close to his centre and ends up being wrong-footed by the attack who just run through him on the inside.

He defends in the centres because thats were he is told to defend, St Helens used to do a similar thing with Sean Long because his defence was poor.

If LeuLuai makes a hit then it is usually a big one but it would much rather he tackled people properly.

At the moment I would say that Wigan have made yet another mistake with signings... letting Danny Orr go and signing Thomas LeuLuai.

Tackling was never his strong point, however, he did seem to improve on his technique as the season has progressed. Sunday, he had a howler in all departments. His attitude seems to be lacking, dont know if you think the same.
