I remember DaveO and I commenting on the value of the week off, and expressing concern that it would be counter-productive for us.

I think today showed that our concerns were justified; we just didn't look at all interested.
Apart from a very few (Higham, O'Loughlin, Fletcher, Hock) they just looked uninterested.

I'm not going to single out any of the "underperformers", there were too many of them, but there seemed to me to be an almost total lack of enthusiasm.

I was reminded very much of the HKR home and Huddersfield away games. Sloppy defence, poor handling and silly penalties, yet again.

The lucky supporters were those who didn't go. We were dreadful from about minute 6 to minute 80. Listening to John Kear on the radio just as I got back to 'arrogate he simply said we knew if we shut Trent barrett down we would shut Wigan down and we did!!
Don't think Barrett has anything to worry about regarding the on report tackle but that was the only good point to come out of the game, the 60 yard try by Richard Moore was frankly embarrassing.
The only good point was that I got in for free as a kind gentleman outside the ground was handing out free tickets wirh 25% off at the local Pizza Hut on the back until the end of May 2007
Even getting in for nowt though the game wasn't worth the admission money
That's a good coment about closing barret down, means shutting Wigans options off, and how true it is.
It is about time LuLu started taking the pressure off Trent, by making and setting up breaks himself, alot more often, and giving options that other teams have to defend against or at least think twice. Other clubs know what an impact Trent is, so he will be a target in all games.

i was one of the one that thought that the week off would have been good. and i was obviously wrong, we seemed like most of the players were still on holiday yesterday, i wish they would have and we could have played the acadamy players which would have showed more effert, lol

They are obsessed with us, watched 20 minutes of their game and fell asleep..no wonder they're attracting 8,000 at the shed. God knows what will happen in Wigan games...makes us exciting and frustrating to watch!!! Bradford beware :hmmm:

God knows what will happen in Wigan games is right, because if we play anything like we did on sunday we'll get sixty shoved up us against Saints.
