Just back on the Hock/Ashton thing - they clearly commented on GMR that Hock knocked on, Ashton said something to him that caused him to angrily throw away the ball and O'Loughlin had to come between them to tell them to calm down. After telling us about that incident they mentioned that Hock had been giving away penalties and was coming close to letting his temper get out of control. They also did mention that he had taken some rough treatment from Newton and Morrison.

Obvoiusly not being there makes it hard for me to comment, but any tales of Hocks bad temperament are worrying. Hopefully he'll get through it and become Tuigalama like!

So was it CA that threw the ball away then? It looks like CA wasn't happy with Ganson either.

Didn't hear the commentary (obviously) but they're making a mountain out of a molehill. I don't remember a single penalty against us for either foul play or dissent. All technical offences; lot of offsides and holding down, one from Ashton not playing the ball properly (again! why won't he learn?).

I thought he had got the player that was behind Ashton for a knock on.

I didn't know that Ganson pinged Ashton for an incorrect play the ball.

I agree with you GeoffN, why won't he learn to put his flaming foot on the dam thing!!!!!!! :( :( :( :(

I too thought Hock kept his head well tonight, as did Fielden. As for the Hock/Ashton incident the way I saw it Hock was happy with neither the pass, but especially the treatment he received in the tackle. Throwing the ball away was his alternative to throwing some punches. I think Ganson recognised this (the one and only situation I'd concede that he controlled tonight) and thus let it go. He could easily have penalised Hock for tantruming. That said I missed the interaction with Ashton. I did see O'Loughlin step in, but assumed it was a "don't worry about it Gaz" type pat on-the-back affair.

I think that is the attitude that you need. Absolutely spot on attitude from Ashton to Hock.
