I couldn't agree more - I'm glad I'm not alone. It's been... hmmmm - well lets just say the last time I felt the need to contest a goal decision was a John Player Special Trophy!

"Pat Richards missed out because his Wife has given birth. We are delighted for him, he has had a baby boy and he will be back in the selection mix up next week."

Sorry, but it looked like a miss to me. Not much in it, but it did swing away to pass by the left post on the wrong side. We missed Richards' kicking, but to be fair to Ashton he couldn't have had much more difficult kicks for a part-time kicker. Even experienced kickers miss touchline kicks.

Spot on Fraggle.

Considering that Ashton has never kicked before in his life (I don't think) he did ok last night.

He kicked one from more or less on the touch line didn't he?

He only just missed with his failed attempts. Lets put it this way, we have seen a lot worse kicking than Ashton produced last night.
