Due to recent events (well documented so I'm not going to drag them all up again), this site has started degenerating (in particular this section of the board).
The one thing that first attracted me to this site was how friendly everyone was and that you could have some meaningful and at times contentious banter (as well as a good laugh and occasional mickey take).

If any idividuals are posting repetitive threads, just ignore them and do not reply (however tempting it may be).
Do not start any "anti" individual posts, as this will only add fuel to the fire and start up further threads.
Yes this is the "off topic" section, but it was not set up for people to post their day to day mundane issues.
If anyone wants genuine advise, there are enough people on this site from all walks of life, that may be able to offer some constructive support.
However, I'm sure we are all aware of what happened to the boy who cried wolf.


If you want to chat, please use MSN or emails to people who are interested.

My suggestion is lets call a truce and if things do not improve, then further action may be taken to eradicate the problem and to get this site back to it's normal happy state.
It's going to be bad enough when the football starts up and the trolls come out of hibernation (without us turning against each other).

I said something similar yesterday, but someone has deleted the entire thread so that message has gone! But I think it's important to state that the moderators are not happy with what has been going on, we're discussing how to handle this situation and any future ones that arise, and that the constant arguing is definitely off-putting for casual visitors so it has to stop.

We know that some people don't like some other people on here.

We know that some people don't like some of the topics that some other people post messages about.

We don't need to be reminded of those opinions over and over again, particularly the way some of those opinions have been expressed recently.

If we had a yellow card system, I'd have put about half a dozen people in the sin bin over all this!

So, as From-A-To-B has said, let's all agree a truce, ignore things that you might previously have posted an angry response to, and try and get back to some kind of normality on here.

And as I said 2-3 weeks ago, if people have particular issues with individuals on here, the moderators can be contacted directly to intervene with things. We probably all check our emails every day or every 2-3 days, so it might take us a little bit of time to respond, but things will get done if we deem it necessary.
