Exactly...the spirit?

Like its stated earlier Radlinski has broken the spirit by playing fro free. However, the RFl, media and everyone else said it was upstanding and heroic.

This is a worrying bit from the article in the Independant by Dave Hadfield
"The League also believes it has proof of offshore payments to players and that Kris Radlinski, who supposedly came out of retirement to play for nothing, was actually being paid. It also said yesterday that it plans to examine further the club's figures for past seasons"
If this is true than very worrying. However, could it be that the League are firing another round across Wigans bows to stop an appeal. Either way damaging allegations from a respected media outlet.

Read the article! This is the same David Hadfield, that at the Wigan v Leeds match, was adamantly telling all and sundry that we WOULD get a 12 point deduction.

Radlinski, IMO would have received compensation payout from his (or the clubs) insurers, when injury forced him, on medical grounds, to retire. If he played for money, IMO, the Insurers will have more to say about the matter than the RFL.

As for offshore payments - delusional comments based on speculation! So WE are supposed to be using these type of accounts and no-one else is? This is drivel, given to feed the vitriolic hated of all things Wigan at the moment.

As someone else has posted - maybe a "shot of the bows" to Wigan, in an attempt to prevent (or generally ward off), this case going any further.

again the wigan name is being dragged through the mud and all the club do is put out a statment from Chairman MO saying he is not going to comment on the hearing until he has the details of the case meeting in writing in front of him.

does he think it will say anything any different to what he was told last night.
From what has been said, it seems that the RFL didn't actually explain their full case last night. Makes one wonder how they managed to actually make a decision if some of the evidence were not presented, but I definitely think we fans have a right to see the RFL ruling in full when it is published.

What is bear?

The fact that we are still in the dark, and may be for at least another 15 days! Regards WHY the RFL decided the way it has.

No one has answered yet, will we be penalised twice for these deferred payments or even can we be?. What actual season will they be referred to now, seeing as the RFL have refused to acknowledged them, yet will be included in this year's accounts.

further more i would hope that we will hear some comment from Dave Whealan afterall he is the one who over the past few months has been banging on about the WESTHAM fiasco regarding players and monies payed.

He will be shown as a hippercritt coz he cant on one hand stand against the FA with regards westham and then stand by his charman for doing nearly the same as what WESTHAM have done.

For me MO should pack his bags and go as he is so far removed from todays game and how to run a club with the Name Wigan attached to it, gone are the days were any club can just go out there and spend spend spend to win trophies.

what all this does is make me wonder what is going to happen next year with reagards to the monthly salary cap inspections coz if we are still over the cap this season how many points will we be deducted for this seasons breaches (if any) and then what are the rules if we are proved to have broken the rules on your monthly inspection or Live instection as the league police it.

we could win all the matches going but if MO is still in charge we would be bottom of the league through points deductions.

totaly racked of and fed up of our proud club being dragged down to this level and branded as cheats, it makes me feel sick that we have to go through this yet again even though MO keeps saying we are going to be ok.

OK aint good enough. championships and winning trophies is what i want and not being labeled as cheats.
Spot on. We have every right to expect the same level of success as Saints and Bradford. Unfortunately our senior management is way behind most of Superleague, not just our main rivals.

I too am sick of waiting for our fortunes to change, ashamed to be a fan at the moment and despairing of us ever behaving with dignity and integrity again.

CPWigan, GeoffN and others may be right in that we have grounds for appeal, but we already look grubby, cynical and desperate enough as it is. I just want us to take it on the chin. I don't care what tricks other clubs get up to. Put our own house in order before we start shouting the odds.

On another point I have played a part in securing around £10K annually in corporate revenue for the club for the last couple of seasons. I don't think it will happen next year. Would a company want its name associated with the club at the moment? Do I want to take customers or clients to watch Wigan at the moment?

Finally, Mo is the luckiest man in SL. It is only the fact that we could still win the cup which is preventing all out rebellion IMO.
