Yep, looks about the best we've got. Surprised Carney's in there though - that's a massive gamble given his injury problems.
3 hookers? Odd.

But like you say Geoff, this is pretty much the best that we have, hard to find a replacement for even a half fit Brian Carney

At least they've got scrum halves to go with the 3 hookers.

I'm surprised by no paul deacon, maybe even noble realises deacons only a good goal kicker, because he doesnt have much flare like long, i'm glad for wild n o'loughlin in particular though they have earned it this season!

I would have liked to see Burrow in there - just to give an option to change the game when Long plays rubbish. I guess he will play for England, therefore he will be match fit if required - if he was called up to the GB squad he would not have played until requird.
I suppose Noble doesn't think a player who does not start for his club is going to be able to make it for GB, which is fair enough.

Burrow would have been a change, he may have only just missed out, but like you say burrow rarely starts for leeds!

Burrow is quick from dummy half but the Aussies are faster than us at closing DH down, he'd just get crushed straight away, I have similar worry about McGuire, they won't let him run along their line looking for a gap to run into.

I'm glad about O'Loughlin and Wild getting picked too. Again, not so sure about Carney, as argued he is our only natural winger, but what is wrong with playing Senior and Pryce on the wings with Gleeson and perhaps Radders in centre with Briscoe at fullback, or is that too much messing about and throwing Sean in a bit deep?

Having re-read the selection, what about Radders at FB, Senior and Pryce on wings with Gleeson and Ellis at centre. Hopefully Gleeson will be match fit.

Robjoenz, I thought Pryce, I imagine you mean MrsLams favourite Leon rather than Wayne, is out of the series with his dislocated shoulder.

I am so chuffed for Wildy and O'Loughlin !! they so deserve it !!!! they have excelled themselves this season and so deserve that GB shirt !!!

Too Big a risk for Carney though, far too many injuries this season, he should sit back, enjoy a guinness and relax and get 100% fit for next season !
