Re: Brett Hogdson
nothing wrong with him you tell me how many times someone has scored when they have run at him on our 25 line. nothing wrong with lulu give me cliff anytime.
Re: Brett Hogdson
The fact with Lulu is he may look exposed out wide but this is more to do with two dog slow centers and a pack that as been to often on the back foot and penalty ridden , He's a young lad and playing in a team thats 2 or 3 players down squad wise on the other teams add to this Ashtons departure and lack of form , millard being past it and withers playing hardly any games and you see more of a reason why he as not sparkled this year ,we have played most of this season with 15 first team players the rest are young lads who need bringing in slowly .
Our young lads are as good as any people look at the saints youngsters and say how good they are but they are brought into a better and stronger team for a few games and then rested , like we did when we were top dogs , this breeds success we need to get back to this as we have the best young players if we bring them on rite .

Well I reckon quite a few times. At Quins it was his fault entirely. Nothing to do with his centres being slow or whatever.LINDSAY RUINED US posted:

I have also seen him shoot out of the line losing his position and messing up the defence on more than one occasion this seaosn.
He can put in a big hit but his organisation of his defence is lacking.
He also has offered little going forward this season. That try v Quins is far too rare. He hardly ever takes the line on himself and when he is the man with the ball near the opposition line he either passes it along the line or does a grubber kick. Very predictable.
Our attack is one of the worst in the league and his form is a reason for that. It isn't all down to a weak pack either because when we are in the opposition danger zone we have got there despite our poor pack but we still fail to capitalise on the position far too often. A lot of this is due to unimaginative and predictable play from TL IMO.

Wellens? Plays behind the best defence in SL. If you put him in an average team he would be in trouble - he hasn't got the pace to catch anyone. The only reason he got MoS was because sky's darling, sculthorpe was injured most of the season and they don't like giving it to non GB playersPanchitta Marra posted:Cant think of one in GB, except maybe Wellens.damien morrissey posted:Thank god there must be a better prospect out there than him.ChrisA posted:
Appraently he's signed a new 1 year deal to stay with Wests.

Dragging this thread back on topic, I've been looking at the NRL and Tigers websites trying to find anything about him re-signing, and there's nothing there.ChrisA posted:

The most recent article I can find is this from the beginning of July:
http://www.nrl.com/Clubs/WestsTigers/W ... fault.aspx
Since then, of cousre, Whatuira has gone, so maybe they can afford to keep Brett now.
Re: Brett Hogdson
From what I have eared he wants to come over and they want him to stay its a case of signing on the dotted line if we want him or whoever takes over does . Hope this is trus as he is a quality player :doz:GeoffN posted:Dragging this thread back on topic, I've been looking at the NRL and Tigers websites trying to find anything about him re-signing, and there's nothing there.ChrisA posted:

Re: Brett Hogdson
Minachello is avalable because his contract runs out at the end of this season, we could do with "The Count" or at least give it a go, it will show our ambition and may attract some good players even if its out of the question.
I think Sonny bill Williams is in the same boat but im not sure, either way these are the type of players Wigan sould aim for not an old has been fullback.
Brett Hogdson isnt as good as people make him out to be.I think William Zillman for the Raiders is a better player and nobody has heard of him on hear but i can guarentee he will be one of the best fullbacks in the world in a couple of years..

Sydney Roosters full-back Anthony Minichiello has extended his contract with the club until the end of the 2009 NRL season.

Re: Brett Hogdson
So we can still stake a claim for the end of 2009, Best full back in the World and Karmichel Hunt is probably second.
Mathers is off to Cas i believe, so thats another one thats getting away.
I dont rate Richards as a full back hes a winger his trys have dried up thus Wigans wins drying up as a result.Hasnt got the back up knowledge in attack.
Untill then get Mark Maclindon he can play as a center and on the wing as well as fullback and will be a fantastic squad player.
If not William Zillman.
