Strewth we were poor with the ball for large periods. Did we not have 2 weeks to train? :conf: Thank heaven for Trent (pure class). Interestingly, Lockers looked very good as a playmaker / passer as the match went on. Tommy Lu Lu seems to struggle to create play. It may be that we use him more to run and rely on Trent and Lockers for passing. Higham made a huge difference and didn't the fans let Nobby know about it :)

Trent, Higham, Lockers, Feka, Richards, Calderwood shone. Fielden is still stealing money. Goulding did well to set up one try and should have had one himself had Hill not been greedy and bombed it. On the negative, Goulding made a mistake when we were down to 11 men.

I thought TL had a much better game in attack tonight, although still sloppy defensively. He was working some nice runarounds with Lockers & Barrett. Feka seemed to me to get more game time, although I wasn't timing him, and he was awesome as always. Hansen was impressive too, I thought. Fletcher was going well until his injury, seemed to be struggling after that. Richards had an excellent game, seemed to be looking to get more involved than usual. O'Carroll was disappointing.

He needs Rob to teach him the forward pass rule, and should carry an alarm clock to wake up the Salford tacklers.

Other than that, not too bad.

Sounds like we were good. It doesn't sound like one of Klein's "nightmare" games does it.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that, but we were better than we have been recently. Good enough to beat the bottom team, anyway, which is an improvement...

Wigan played some good rugby at times but then again at times they looked poor in defence and clueless in attack.

It was a performance which was good enough to beat the bottom side but it was certainly not a top six performance. The Salford defence was easily caught out when Barrett sent the ball wide but a better side won't allow Wigan so much space.

Not the best of performances but still nice to see a win from Wigan.
