Players in Wigan

Post by loyal »

Talking to a group of SL players in the Grand Arcade couple of days ago. Have to say, rather strange group of players to talk to as most of them play for different teams.

Sean O'Loughlin
Phil Bailey
Brian Carney
Terry Newton
Terry O'Connor
Paul Deacon

Also have to say, great guys to talk to, Phil Bailey seems happy to chat to any fan, and Brian Carney. Well, always happy :D

:doz: They did actually luck like they were good mates, think they live near each other, get Carney back from Munster and put him on Baileys Wing!!

With the loss of Carney and Ashton i worry about the lack of pace in the team. looking at the Bradforsd backline on sunday they couldnt of broken through a paper bag we are going to be the same unless this years recruitment is x factor material. Fitzy is a bit quick but in the same bracket as Lee Smith not as Scott Donald

i wouldn't worry about pace.

colbon isn't slow, richards is deceptively quick because he has a wide stride, bailey isnt a centre so move to second row. walker if we get him he isnt slow. if goulding is brough tin, he deffinately has pace. and then a new full back.

I'v always wanted us to sign the likes of Manu Vatuvai, Matt Utai, Jonah Lomu HAHA! :D ... Big, powerful, FAST players outwide.

I believe we was interested in Manu Vatuvai last year. Any truth in it?

I want a big hard winger like Big Les or Alex Tuilagi. Amazing to watch these power houses turn defences into rubble then crash over for a try.

Simply put but yes. we have a few quick players but no one RAPID we need to get some pace somewhere in the side and Inglis is very quick. (yes i know either under contract or doesnt want to blow his origin/roos jersey)

Forget all of them, if we have some money lets go for this guy.

Pure pace, pure class and able to put big hits in two.
