The Official Website???????????

Post by PieEaterinWales »

I normally visit the official website? www.wiganrl.com.

as a wiganer residing in Wales I thought it might keep me up to date, But to my disappointment it does not. It is still reporting last years news!!!! Is this now the official website as it seems up to date and quite well presented.

If the other address is the official website then it is an embarressment compared to the rest of the Superleague team sites (Cas have the best as they are sponsored by a computer company).

Do others agree?

I don't think they've anyone to run it.
Better sticking with us fan sites.

Here and my site cherryandwhite.co.uk.

Not official but at least we update from a fans point of view. :)

saints

Post by Pie_Eater14 »

ive never visited cas' site so i don't know if its that good but what ive heard is that saints new sponsor 'condom' or summet like that are going to update the saints site vastly bringing the very latest technology to the saints fans aparently anyway. I dont think the official wigan site is that bad if they took a few (well alot of) the advertisements off and if they updated everything on it regulary or daily im sure there would be someone somewhere in wigan willing to do this for the club.Shaun

Apprarently the club have taken on someone to keep the site up to date, maybe this is a sign of new thinking at the club.

Maybe they have appointed someone to run the website, but the content still needs changing to reflect and inform the fans, at present its really a corporate website with one page dedicated to news. We need to email or write, to let Wigan RL know what we want and not what they think we should have.

What the fans want!!!

I agree with you, the audience they wish to attract is the corporate market. There is very lttle for the "real" fan to enjoy.

Anyway since I have started visiting this website, I don't really bother with the "official" site. This site by far and away best caters for the fans who want to know what is happening.

Well done keep it up!
