He's about a year younger than Smith, but I can't see him being any better. I think he'll just have the same role. Not slagging Godwin off but what can he offer that Smith couldn't, no-one is going to shine when you've got Newton in the team.

Yes yes yes rob but you know i wasnt a mark smith fan and until newton goes we arent going to have a hooker push him out the way so it doesnt really matter

That was my point, can't see why we needed to do get rid of Smith to have Godwin in the same predicament.

Because smith wanted to be first choice hooker and godwin wants to "learn" from the best!

Hm i'm not sure if Godwin will see it that way.
Those rumours of Newton not getting on with a certain other player last year, if they were true then I can see us having some serious problems with relationships in the team this year.
