I would expect so. Might not be a massive amount, but another 50/60k would certainly help.waterside glens posted:

I am the first to admit that Fielden has had an extremely poor season by his usual standards, but did you watch him play for Bradford, or for GB a couple of seasons ago? He was immense, you are obvioulsy basing your facts almost entirely on this past season. When he signed for us last year, he finished the season off with some great form.shawcross da warrior posted:
and also why dont we see if we can swap fielden for someone like kidwell or asotasi a experianced front rower who is actually good and worth the money.......
also us pay money to get shut of him.....
i will put a pound in the pot to see him go.........
He gets tons of stick on here, some of it deserved and some not. Why does Feka, who only plays 15-20 mins per half and only makes a handful of his trademark barnstorming runs during that time, not get the same amount of abuse as Fielden?
I expect Fielden to have a much better season next year, especially if we sign another prop. If he doesn't then I will agree with a lot of people, that he just isn't worth the money.
Getting over the death of a parent can be a long, painful and drawn out healing process. Ask anyone who has gone through it at such a young age.
By the way, I have heard from a few people, a couple of which are involved with Saints, that Willie Mason is a target for the cheating scousers for next season. Personally I don't see how they can possibly afford it, within the legal bounds of the cap.

Don't you think as fans we have a right to judge a player on his performances for us and not for Bradford, England GB or any other team.Sutty posted:I am the first to admit that Fielden has had an extremely poor season by his usual standards, but did you watch him play for Bradford, or for GB a couple of seasons ago? Re: willie mason
to be fair to fielding he played most of last season with an injury. as did locky. think well see a different fielden next season.
Re: willie mason
To be fair to Fielden I think you will see a difference next year, my son is a doctor and he said that Fielden has been playing with a double heal spure & having cortisone injections. And anyone who has had one will know what the pain is like, add to that the loss of this family & it would be a very unemotional person not to be below par, espesially when you are carrying so much expectation on your shoulders.

Re: willie mason
kidwell is a second rower but in the past has played up front i think asotasi would be an amaing signing and one as good as willie mason in my eyes he is tough a good leader and would work well with feka i think.......
but him being captain of souths would be hard to get him here..... :conf:
