Saw Toby Jepson play the Robin in Bilston a while back doing some of his new stuff and the bit of Little Angels stuff.

rumoured that zep will be touring with the cult next year in some mag my mate read. locally we have tygers of pan tang , alex harvey, lime house lizzy , the sort of "real"thin lizzy and focus(dutch band with amazing yoddling and keyboards ( yes i said yoddling) but they are great

I watched Little Angels at Liverpool Royal court years ago. The best live act I have seen so far though has to be Metallica, I've seen them 5 times and they get better every time. Although for sheer entertainment, U2 at Roundhey park in Leeds in 1991 on the Zoo tv tour takes some beating. Slayer were surprisingly dissapointing when I watched them at Donnington Monsters of Rock in 1995.

Hi

I usually dont post but couldnt help it for this one. Some great bands metioned in peoples lists. However i though i might add the lancashire hotpots. They are really funny and based on myspace. Also if any of you play the guitar and want to listen to an old great who influenced lots of bands, i recommend robert johnson. He sold his soul to the devil for a tuned guitar for playing the blues as the story goes

I love all that early Blues from the 20's and 30's, Robert johnson, Son House, Tampa red, Frank Hutchison, Can Harney, Mississippi John Hurt, Kokomo Arnold, Washington White & Leadbelly (to mention a few) you just can't beat it, they are the roots of all Rock music, it is amazing what some of them did with a Parlour Guitar and a medicine bottle

Jethro Tull. Once saw then live in concert in London and they are the best live band I have ever seen.

Squeeze - saw their farewell gig and that was a memorable night.

the best gig i have been to has to be to see Red Hot Chili Peppers which was my first ever gig about 4 years ago and was amazing with james brown supporting who was brilliant, even at his age at the time he put on a great show. since then the best others are REM, oasis, foo fighters, strokes, kings of leon, Ash, coldplay, bloc party, kaiser chiefs, smashing pumpkins, beastie boys, kasabian three times and jamie T was very good.
