Who will Sign Next?
Re: Who will Sign Next?
Maybe some one who is big and can cover both back row and if pushed front although we have this already with Coley Frank Pritchard for example would be ideal
Re: Who will Sign Next?
if we could get another prop in could coley be used to cover the second row as well?
what about Prescott been used as a second row as he develops into a prop

Re: Who will Sign Next?
I think the squad with at least one more player to come in will be stronger , all the younger players have another year under their belts and we have a settled half back partnership .An ideal scenario would be a utility back and a forward who could cover front row just someone with size and go forward and seeing we made 2 semis last year that would be more than I expected for this year.
Re: Who will Sign Next?
I agree - one more big no nonsense type prop forward - does not have to be a super star but needs to be a big tough lad - feel we never replaced scott logan - think of him added to the current pack.
Need to do a superb find ie Richard Moore or get a year out of an older player as Saints did with Paul Anderson

Yes we never replaced Logan , Think he started as a second row , sure he played there at Hull someone like him would do nicely if we could get a back as well it would be better than I thought possible with £140 K .

Wouldn't surprise me if we're looking for a player who can cover at 6, 7 & 9.
Maybe another forward as well after Hill being released but then again we've given some of the youngsters full time contracts.
Only time will tell.
* If we were looking at a yawnion player to swap codes I wouldn't have minded that speedster from South Africa (Habana, I think)![]()
Seriously though I'd sooner have Janice Dickinson as centre than Nathan Mcavoy he's crap I'm sorry he is an awful player.
Hutch Maiva is getting on a bit and has clearly had off field problems to sort out and is an impact prop and pressuming Feka's trial goes ok then he would be a waste of space in all honesty.
So for me I don't think we'll be signing anyone , however in an ideal world out of all the players we have been linked with and I have said this all along Karl Pryce is who we should be looking at.

I can't believe you believe it.Morph posted:
In one of the papers today, said "Ben Cohen" turned us down. Can't beleive this is true why would we want to sign a player whose 30 and has never played league prefering to play a vastly inferior code all these years?
Remember the early 90s, when Will Carling wrote in his autobiography that he turned down an offer from Leeds for £1 million (at a time when Ellery Hanley was only valued at £200,000)!!!
These Union guys talk utter crap. But they're not the only ones. Wigan never offered Mason a contract either, despite what he said in the papers.

Re: Who will Sign Next?
i would have james graham good young player.....
Re: Who will Sign Next?
Unlikely to say the least but taking of Grahams a player like Nick Graham who played for us 4/5 years back would top the squad off a treat. He could play 6, 12 or 13 and was solid as a rock. His defence was up there with the best i've seen.
Maybe he has a younger brother(come to think of it it could have been James Graham as Nick was an ugly ginger bugger aswell).

Cohen what the hell? why would we even consider this guy. To be perfectly honest im not bothered who we sign as long as its a prop forward. An established player or a promising youngster either way it will complete the squad.
I feel that we have reached the limit of the cap unless somebody can proove otherwise. The room left by Hill would have been filled by the new contract thats been dished out to one of our youngsters.
if you read what IL says on offical website the money hill's wage has freed up will be used with what ever's left on the cap space to bring in someone else!
