I think my first match was the 98 Grand Final, typical glory seeker! I think I did every game home and away that following season and have never looked back since then...

:) my first match was in 1978/79 in the second division me being young, wanted to go and watch leigh, they were the top team that year and i asked my dad if i could go and see them play.

thank god my dad said no i'll take you to watch mine and your home town team wigan.

that season we got promoted and i've been a season ticket holder from that day.
unfortunately i cannot remember who we played that day
that was a close shave.

That was an ace day! I remember on the coach we stopped at a service station...all the Saints coaches were covered in pictures and banners saying they were going to win, the Wigan coaches had nothing. We were the underdogs...the journey home was ace driving past all the Saints coaches as the fans hid behind their banners. :D Everyone goes on about Wigan not taking many fans that day, but it just makes me feel prouder to have been there. Got the game on DVD n'all!
........and on the 8th day, God made Wigan Warriors!

My first game was the 1998 challenge cup final disaster against sheffield at wembley. I was only 5. Since then I have only missed two major finals that we reached. They were the only two that we have won.

mid to late 70's with my grandad i used to sit on the wall and at the end of the match used to go and ask the players for there tie ups off there socks.

but my most memorable incident would have been when henderson gill broke his leg, you could almost here the bone break.

missed most of the lat 80's games due to being posted away in the armed forces but watched every match that i could on bskyb.
