Wembley here they come!!! :)

RC can you post when they play their fixtures (if at home) Cas High School will be the hardest opponents (normally) Huge school at least 1500 nearer 2000 students.

Fisher Y11s lost their final to Great Sankey

Standish is the big success story in Wigan school RL

:( Shawcross, every year in that school should make finals year in year out. The amount of talent available is frightening.

5 years worth of teams would require a lot of effort

St Josephs are the only school in the |North West to have an official 100% winning record.

after 5 games then the Bolton league folded.

:( I know Shawcross. Tragedy really.

Once Thomas More closed it made that year even better. They often only just won v Sankey though and lost this year. Given their talent :conf:

Internally the rules chopped and changed. When I was there they banned players from playing above their age group because Brian Foley sent them and every Wigan school an article saying it was not a good poilcy (for ANY school) They then decided they needed Greg Burke for that team so he was banned from playing in his own year group and had to play for the year above (current Y11s)

So many good players in that school. Even more frustrating there are players with huge potential who do not play amateur and thus go to waste. Never seen a school before or since where lads played rugby so much in their breaks.

Never forget a final v St Peters. Peters had a very good runner of the ball, fullback but he was incredibly right to left sided. The instruction should have gone out to kick everything to his left side negating his right to left runs. It did not and he killed them. :conf:

Standish get some good Wigan lads nows and together with the efforts of Shevy Sharks it is enabling Ged Staz to put some decent teams together. Incredibly enthusiastic and dedicated teacher IMO.
