I cant say faz is going for the money but more for the challenge. Apparantly the club will get up to £600k for him, which i hope mo doesnt waste!

Re: Farrell leaving good f...
I think the World Cup in 2007 plays a major factor in a decision to move to Union. A high profile tournament, that he has never experienced and never will be able to in League.
2004 YEAR OF THE WARRIORS (hopefully)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Farrell leaving good f...
I still think there is more to this than money or a new challenge. Something does not add up. Okay id understand if we were getting SBW or any of the top OZ or NZ international instead of Faz.
The timing is all wrong has no one noticed this or is it me. All transfers are all sorted out by New Year or usually well before. Then about 2 weeks ago we see reports in the national press and then a statement by the club.
If England really wanted him and were prepared to pay the money why did he not go before the New Year. It does not add up. Why did they not get him at the end of the Tri Nations Series.
1. Are England that desperate they have no World Class players themselves.
2. Is the Injury a long term issue and the club are ready to odd load.
3. Is there a World Class player ready to come in.
4. Is there a dispute between Faz and the Club. Maybe re Gregory.
5. Is the money too good to miss as he will not get another big contract from Mo.
6. Is it more of a challenge to join with the RFU than stay and win a trophy and attempt to beat the Oz in the next series.
Maybe im way off but there is something wrong here as mentioned above the timing is wrong.

Well have you seen any of the England Rugby Union games of late, and the quality of their forwards. they go some way to explaining why they want Faz so badly

It is really all for the money thiking about it, if he wants to be more widely recognised that will bring him money and if he gets international honours that will bring him more money and if england start winning things that will bring more money.....so much for thinking he wasnt going for the money. I apologise, but i do hope hes going for the challenge as well because if he is just going for the money then he may not even enjoy playing and not perform to his best.

Okay say he is going for the money. But why did this not happen in October last year. The timing is off here we do deals months in advance of a new season unless the club have an energency like Davico.MrsLam posted:

Id still question whose coming in. Remember Mo went to Oz looking for a prop for Davico. He comes back and Faz is going and no prop.
Id still like to know who made the first move has Mo got a major sigining to come up and then decided that the only way to fincance within the cap was to get rid of Faz. Or did Faz set it up with his agent. Or did the RFU do the first move.
The silence from all parties id trust none of them.

I think the fact faz hasnt made a public announcement and we're hearing it all form the rfu and a wigan spokesperson is wierd!

I played union for about a decade. As a forward in union it is far more technical than in League. Itll take him months to get used to turning back in the tackle rather than going forward. Thats the easy bit.Warriors_ace_17 posted:

Flanker and No8 in union are a specialised position and are a far more defencive role than anyother on the pitch.
Hes not tall enough for second row, too tall to prop, too big to hook which only leaves a back row position.
I think he could struggle as the quality in the English side is poor at the moment due to retirements. And just like Wales did to Harris stick him in there too soon and hell be found lacking as he will need time to settle.
Re: Farrell leaving good f...
Yes we blame Mo for everything to do with the transfer then let Faz of the hook. He needs to explain it truthfully asap.mrs_carney posted:
