If we have seen the last of Faz can I just add to the well wishers and say thanks for everything you've done. Faz has been an inspiration and I think the first two games of the season have showed what an influence he has had on Wigan.

Thanks for the 13 years of great service and leadership. He'll be greatly missed but wigan wont crumble without him. I wish him all the best in the future and hope he kicks bum in union

He will soon find out what it means to face the Green machine. Carney is next IRFU written all over him. 250,000 players to Irelands 21,000 and they have to steal a Flanker

If the BBC website is correct we have probably seen the last of faz in a Wigan shirt.
If we have I will be very disappointed in him. The squad for this season was assembled with him an integral part of it. If he leaves now he will leave us in the lurch. We will have lost our best player and have no chance to replace him. We will be one very experienced and talented player down and while some may say it is time for the rest of the team to step up or words to that effect, we simply do not have anyone to fill his boots.

There is no way we are going to do as well this season as we would have without him.

If he didn't want to play for Wigan again he should have said so at the end of least season so this seasons squad could have included his replacement.

He went on the Florida training camp just a few weeks ago and so the club could only assume he would be playing for us this season not swanning off to RU.

If he plays this season out, then fair enough but if he goes now his past exploits in a Wigan shirt won't be the same for me.

I couldn't agree more. The least Faz could do is honour his contract and show some loyalty to the fans, on the basis that the season was planned to include him.

Before the start of the season I thought we had a good side with real prospects of lifting some silverware this year. Now I have a sick feeling in my stomach that our team is being taken apart and we can forget the silverware this year - again.

I agree with the 2 posts above. He could have gone earlier before the season or at the end of this one.

Pity you know how loyal you can be when shown a few more pounds. Then again we all would go to another job for more money.

The team was based around him and for him to go before the season has got into full flow is not exactly been loyal is it. And that is what gets me more than anything else not the money not loyalty but the game was based around him.

We will see this season how big a player he was if the team wins something then that will show we based the game too much around him the last few years, but i suspect well win nothing now .

Even if Faz were to stay for this season then it will be a couple of months before he's back. If he left now it would give him the opportunity to learn union (watching tapes etc) while he recovers.

If he were to leave now then at least we would get some sort of financial compensation. If he were to see his contract out, then he could leave for free.

The team has been built around him for the most of the super league era and with the bidding war surrounding SBW at the moment, it is easy to see that finding a replacement for him this season will not be possible. This means that we are going to struggle this season and I don't want to even think about what will happen if we get anymore injuries.

However after all is said and done it is his decision and if wants to leave then I would rather he left than stay at Wigan if he didn't want to.

Although I think that his departure will cost Wigan this season, I still wish him all the best for the future
