shambolic we should be closer to saints than that
complete let down
wakey wakey we are not good enough to challenge for the league

Re: What a joke?
after that disgracefull show we will be lucky to finish in top 6 never mind challenge for anything
Wigan is and always will be a town of Cherry & White
Re: What a joke?
Exactly the same as at Wire... Not one of the players looked interested, but even if saints are a world class team you would expect to see Professional rugby players put up more of a fight than that. Diddnt look like scoring, diddnt look like tackling, all i can say is well done Lu Lu
OOOOOO were the greatest club in the world!!!!

we were shocking yesterday, but you cant blame barrett for it. How is a a palymaker meant to do anything when he has got forwards who arent settin a platform. When he does run at the line he has no runners so its easy for the defence.

Re: What a joke?
The biggest joke was the standard of refereeing.
At the moment it seems to be pot luck when the ref decides to start penalising for offside and when he stops.
On good friday he couldn't see a Saints player offside in the first half but he saw every wigan offence.
You can't win a game without the ball. And against a team as good as saints you can't continually defend for almost 40mins without giving away a number of tries.
Wigans defence was actually pretty good in the first 10 - they defended well and kept saints out on a number of sets, but there's only so much you can do especially when a man short.

Absolutely spot on Big steve. The penalties gave stains the ball for nearly 75% possession in the first half, plus Micky in the bin. I thought it was disgusting. Any side would be totally deflated at that, and struggle to recover. When Wigan upped their effort, all Stains did was lie on in the tackle to slow us down and Mr Silverwood did sweet F*. I am not blaming the ref 100% for the defeat, however he played a large factor in desrtroying Wigans confidence. We made too many unforced mistakes.
