Bit harsh that mate, this has been discussed many of times... Its a hard job stus taking up, at the moment hes like a big player and if he doesnt perform he gets the finger pointed at him... I do agree i have seen him play better but no one stood out today.

In my opinion if they have all been bad today (which they all have) then there is no use in pointing the finger at one particular player i.e, Fielden/Goulding/Colbon.

It is unfair just victimising one player when they have all been bad.

I personally think they all stole a wage today.

To be honest I wouldn't be sorry to see Fielden or Higham gone at the end of the season.

Higham is supposed to be our "1st choice" hooker; he got completely owned by McIlorum today. He failed to make any yards, gave away penalties and missed tackles. I think that his contract is up at the end of the season - can't see it being a hard decision for IL, he should be able to slot back into the Leigh side if he is lucky.

As for Fielden; apart from when he first joined the club in our relegation fight; he has been a huge let down. He is being completely outplayed by a closed season recruit from a relegated club. He doesn't put in the big hits; much less make the yards you would expect from such a high profile player. He as good as O'Carroll and behind Prescott and Coley.

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

What dissapoints me most about Fielden's performances over the last year or so (aside from the odd occasion, granted) is that you can almost see that the younger players look up to him and expect him to take them forward with aggression - and when it isnt there it knocks them. When he first joined us he lifted the team ; when he has a crap day he demotivates the players around him.

And yes, for what he costs us we could have 2 x Coley and I dont think at this moment in time any of us could argue he's remotely worth it...
