Great idea, start the revolution, issue the P45's, banish from Wigan!

Oh, hang on, we've done that before. Pity it's not the answer or else every sporting club that sacks the manager after a run of bad results would turn into world champions.

As the saying goes, it's a marathon not a sprint - stains fans felt like we do now during the early to mid 90's when we were battering them every time we played them and they stabilised it through sticking with coaches.

Christians weren't the only people celebrating a crucifixion on Good Friday - how many times could we say that over the last few years?

At the tail end of last season, we seemed to be moving in the right direction - however this year we have gone backwards. We've got out of jail in a couple of games this year and were it not for those escapes we would probably be keeping cas company at the bottom of the table.

What is the answer? I don't think that sacking the coach will necessarily help us - we've been there before and Noble knew enough to be successful with Bradford. That said, we just seemed so poorly organised yesterday that you could tell from the kick off that we were going to lose. Things that were obvious to every Wigan fan watching, seemed to be lost on the team. What was most disappointing was the total capitulation at the end. When Eastmond got the ball; no one seemed bothered and were happy to let him jog through and score. At least in previous years you knew the players cared.

Noble had the look of someone who's game plan had been totally ignored and knew it would be a long afternoon.

Even more worryingly, after the match he said:

"It's important we respond as best we can on Monday."

What? That sounds like we are expecting to get beaten then as well! How about saying something like:

"We're going to have a few discussions when we get back to the club - if players think that they can just turn up and play like that then they are in for a shock"

Until we get some fight in the team (and coach), expect more of the same

i don't think sacking noble is the answer. but i question his tactics at times. and exactly what does he say to them? i remember bradford in the play offs, half time he had the powerade bottles out saying "you do it like this!"!!

id have loved to give the talk at half time, every wigan fan, saints fan, stevo and eddy, saints team, mascotts, everyone would have heard it. they want a pasting off the men in charge, it simply isn't good enough. there are to many teams like us in this league and we'll be lucky to get top 6. we are average, and it needs to change.

I know think its time for Shaun Edwards to answer our call for a top class coach just look what he did with a mediocre wales side this guy knows how to win and will make Wigan great again.

What really upsets me about yesterdays game is the fact that before the kick off I looked at both packs and seriously thought that our lot looked a lot more dangerous, particularly in the front row and then thats where we go and lose it in spades. Once we lost it in the forwards the Stains 1 to 7 were always going to tear us apart. Back at the JJB in September our pack was tremendous and behind them TB was magnificent. Yesterday on lots of occasions in the second half I deliberately set out to find him on the field thinking that he had gone off and I had not seen him leave the field but no! each time after a bit of searching I found him still out there.

FORGIVE ME IF I'M WRONG BUT IS IT NOT THE RESPONSIBLITY OF THE COACHING STAFF TO PREPARE THE TEAM IN RESPECT OF FITNESS, TACTICS, MOTIVATION?
ALL THESE WERE SADLEY MISSING YESTERDAY.
HOW ON EARTH CAN YOU EXPECT LULU & BARRETT TO PERFORM ON THE BACK OF A LESS THAN MOTIVATED PACK? I HAVE HAVE BEEN AWARE FOR A LONG TIME THAT THE FORWARDS HAVE BEEN RECEIVING THE BALL FLAT,NOT IN MOTION,IF I CAN SEE THIS SURLEY OUR COACHING STAFF CAN?
IMO ANDY COLEY IS OUR ONLY FORWARD ACTING SOMETHING LIKE A FORWARD.

Time for the one eyed brigade to get their heads out of the sand.

BN has been in charge for TWO YEARS now, and we have made zero progress, in fact in some areas we have gone backwards.

He cannot coach a side properly, and it's time he stopped receiving god-like worship based on old glories.

Cmon guys. Sean Edwards has improved fitness levels and team morale in wales, thats no big deal in the six nations. What competition is he up against, teams full of unfit basket ball loafers where teams actually run the ball to hand on average for 20 minutes out of the eighty. League is totally different, the fitness levels are already there, with little room for improvement. Edwards is no improvement on Noble by any means.
Everyone's backside seams to drop out when we lose to Stains, its the end of the world, "sack the coach", [/b]"get rid of the players", only the juggler is left. The coach cant be fully acountable when the referee gives a penalty count of 8 to 1 within the first fifteen minutes and places a man in the bin, especially when the oposition were guilty of similar infringements to go literally unpunished. You could see the expression on the Wigans players faces drain with the frustration. Our first & second choice full backs were then out of action with an inexperienced full back, making unforced errors. Who should Noble have put at full back: Goulding, Calderwood, Caremont, Barrett, Fielden, tough choice for any coach. Any team facing Stains with this amount of upheavel would have been punished as bad, OK we didnt play well, but dont blame the coach for every thing that goes wrong.

This is a load of rubbish... SACK THE COACH!??? I hope your all having a laugh... answer me this

IS BRIAN NOBLE ON THE PITCH???

WHAT COACH THAT YOU KNOW TELLS THE PLAYERS TO GO ON THE PITCH AND STAND OFF TACKLES AND PLAY THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON IN A P**S POOR MANNER?

Sack the players should be the chant ... load of rubbish.. The reason we cant win anything is because we keep having diffrent coaches. Give them a chance first... When Noble came to the JJB Things were VERY bad, look what he did for us. We only sing when were winning thats our problem.
OOOOOO were the greatest club in the world!!!!
