I have seen this before MrDave, and would have thought it a good idea if it wasn't Gary Hethrington who was trying to organise it (he is trying to be the new Maurice Lindsay)but I still think the game(s) should be played at the end of the season not the start of the new one. This year half (exaggerated) of Melbourne's team were playing in Super League

I tend to agree, but it's interesting to note which SL clubs they're talking about...

i think its a good idea but we should play it after grand final as both teams in nrl and sl have still got the the players as if its in feb then it wouldnt be same team like melbourne who lost 3 or 4 players from the winning team. also start the league in march instead of feb.
