I booed the ref, he was awful. Anyone on here that has admitted singing racist songs should be blocked from the site in my opinion and if posible, identified to the club so they can take what ever action they deem approriate.

The only difference between Anti-French chanting and any anti-Yorkshire, anti-St Helens is the fact its against the French. So either put up with it and accept that you do get chants like that or complain about all the chants that are anti-club/county/country.

Why treat the French any differently from any other club?

I was the one starting most of the "anti-French" or "racist" chanting on Friday, and can I just say I think there's been a huge reaction from the PC brigade here. I'm in no way racist but chants like this are part of the game, do you think fans from other countries don't sing stuff about us being English b*****ds? And whoever made the point about it being the same as singing songs about Yorkshire is spot on. That's exactly what it's like. The point is I'm not going to stop singing stuff like this when it's all part and parcel of the game. I'd love to see how certain people would react if they went to the football and saw teams singing "England, England, England" at Bradford City for instance. Now THAT's real racism, not some regular chant at a French team "insulting" them for being French.

And as for not being real supporters, I think you're missing the fact that me and the lads who come with us attend every match and sing songs that get behind the lads and don't just focus on insulting the opposition.

Behave yourself, ive done nothing wrong on here and neither has anyone else, its a debate get used to it. And its not as if we were singing Real racist chants. I diddnt even know it was. But yeah rant over about the real supporters, i attend every game and get behind the lads and so do about 30 others, so i know im a "True" Supporter.

Why oh why do you all always say we are true supporters because we go to every game. If certain fans go to every game but are racist and misbehave then no they are not real fans.

I think the chants on friday were extremely racist and probably by kids who have no idea what they are shouting about.

The french resistance helped our battle so much and they didnt have to do a jot because it 'wasnt their war', thanks to the french resistance my uncle was smuggled out of yugoslavia to become a fighter pilot for the raf as he didnt believe in Hilter and was being forced to rejoin his squadron. If you truely know the risks a lot of the french public took you wouldnt be shouting that.

The diff between the anti yorkshire stff for example is that its somethings thats always happened. People always given stick to each other friendly, expect it from each other.

With the french its not that regular. We dont come in to contact with each other enought for the history behind the stick given out to make it as friendly. The frog thing is ok, as well as the rosbif stuff ill expect to get back, ill even go as far as saying mustard should be yellow not brown but war stuff isnt. Its a part of history that people can be quite passionate about esp if relatives died in violence. Which will be in living memory for some.

i agree some of the chants are out of order but i expect them when watching the game it's part of it and people will just have to get used to it. i myself was sat down or leaning on the seat to have a rest, after running around with binder to supply programs to different areas of the stadium. so i personally didnt join in with most of the chants, a couple yes, but was stil trying to get my breath back or just having general chat with my mates while watching the game. end of the day no matter how much debate there is for this topic there will always be a couple of chants like this throughout the game so the best thing to do in my opinion is just to block if out if it offends you

How can you say block them out???!!!! It is a racist chant , which before every game you are told to that if racist comments will not be tolerated. Should Gilly have blocked out having bananas thrown at him or Offiah blocked out the monkey noises because that is what you are saying!
