Since he hasn't left yet the answer is Andy Farrell.

Sounds like Moran will get a lot of stick this season.

Jamie Ainscough had the same problem early on then he started to show some class.
I don't know what the Moran critics are watching either, he's been impressive when I've seen him. Some original kicking and good support play being the highlights.

Ainscough, on the other hand, was just crap and more than justified his criticism. Can't say I saw the "class" you mention either, I wasn't sad to see him go. Indeed, given his handling was suspicious, his position was awful and he seemed to stop running after about 20 yards so his pace was questionable, I'm not sure why we bought the guy in the first place. There was that one try in a State of Origin match the season we signed him which earned him lots of plaudits (and I still think the charge-down for the try was closer to a knock-on), but he was anonymous for the rest of that match and it was that anonymousness that I'll remember from his time at Wigan.

Guess we were not watching the same player then. He was the best centre we had before he was forced to retire and defencivly was strong.

After all Defence wins games.

Seems if your foreign and do not play NRL standard in the SL youll get crucified by some.

His defence was good, but his attacking play was pathetic, and for all the critics of Wild or Aspinwall, they both are far better in attack than was Ainscough. Defence wins games? Only if you're also scoring some points and Ainscough managed to bomb more than his fair share of scoring chances. Ok, so he was playing wing part of the time, but why did he so often run ahead of his centre so no-one could pass to him? And those runs where he stopped after 30-40m were just embarressing. I was never convinced he was even any better than Dodgy Hoddgy.

Problem with me is i see most games from a defencive point of view. Yes you need to score which we did well on Friday but the defence was not up to standard and that why i regard Ainscough highly. Yes his frist few months was awful.

As been no better than Hodgson remember Hodgson should have been in his prime whilst Ainscough wasnt.

We have possible a good centre in Vaeleki but i think we need another as we are getting short on cover in the back.

I was thinking the same.
If he does leave then it's Hock or O'loughlin.
I liked Ainscough for his comedy value, only he could pick up the ball with one hand the way he did, while not being able to pick up the ball with 2 hands or just drop on it over the line to score a simple try. Only he could have scored that try on his back against Saints.
