engage Super League champions Leeds have signed France international Eric Anselme on a four-month loan deal from Albi.
The 29-year-old centre or back row forward has been recruited by the Rhinos in response to an injury crisis which has claimed all their specialist second rowers.
Anselme began training with his new team-mates at Headingley today and could make his debut against Bradford Bulls at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

Anselme began training with his new team-mates at Headingley today and could make his debut against Bradford Bulls at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
He will return to play for Albi in the French Cup final at the end of May.
Anselme, who had a spell with Australian side Penrith in 1999 and played briefly in Super League for Halifax two years earlier, was in the France team that lost to Great Britain at Headingley last June and is expected to be in coach John Monie’s plans for the World Cup in Australia later this year.
“He’s going to be with us until September,†said Leeds chief executive Gary Hetherington.
“It’s part of a new relationship we have with Albi which could see us taking a few of their junior development players going forward.â€
Leeds are currently without international back rowers Jamie Jones-Buchanan, Ali Lauitiiti and Gareth Ellis and coach Brian McClennan is keen not to put too much pressure on the club’s youngsters.
“We have got some young ones coming through the Academy but we think the best thing for their development is not to rush them at this stage,†said McClennan.
“The best option was to was to have an experienced back row in to help us out through this tough period.â€
