Thought the combined figure given of 63 500 on Sky was poor.
Wigan v stains, Leeds v Bradford and Hull v KR would have pulled this in by themselves over three matches if played at the home grounds indicated.
Hope that Celtic Crusaders get a Superleague franchise then we can get rid of this farce. Plus, with a fourteen team league, we would be back to playing home and away matches against all the other teams just once instead of having to play some teams 3 or 4 times. In the spare weekend we could have an international against France.

Re: MM Crowds
So, 63,500 was a resounding success was it?
Looking at the last time these teams played each other
Hull Hull KR 9,284
Cas Wakey 9,287
London Cats 3,854
Brad Leeds 19,296
Wire Hudds 9,320
Stains Wigan 17,500
TOTAL 68,541
If wigan at home to Stains, you can probably add a further 5,000 to the total giving 73, 541
Now I'm not a mathematical genius, but how is a 10k drop in attendance a resounding success? :conf:

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

More to the point, how many of those attending where the "hoped for" neutrals attracted to the games???FROM A TO B wrote:So, 63,500 was a resounding success was it?

Even more baffling, with the suggested possibility of the "event" being moved to Ireland or Scotland, how do the RFL expect those venues to "draw" fans, either neutral or not.
