Hull may be in a spot of bother

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

A joke....they will not be kicked out of the cup due to there being no rule to do so.

There was no rule about deferred payments either but they made it stick.

is it not called spirit of the game ,mmmm i cnat beleive thet hull would willingly do this,no s=disrespect to rochdale or widnes but dont think the inclusion of thackery would make a difrence ,
Again the problem is at rfl headquarters hull must of produced a squad sheet so the people at headquaters should of spotted this and stopped him playing ,yes again heads should roll but guess will just get sweepet under the carpet again

Rules are rules Mike. You either adhere to them and play to them - or you willingly flaunt them and damn the consequences.

I cannot for one second, believe than NO-ONE at Hull didn't think to check his registration before the CC!

Everyone in the past has always signed players pre-cup deadline day. This was no different, except he was signed AFTER the deadline and under the auspice that no-one would find out or suspect wrongdoing.

The fine stinks! End of. I cannot believe that for over 100 years - clubs have been meeting/beating deadline day unnecassarily. With no rules to countenance mistakes or worse, deliberate flouting of regulations.

Widnes fans at work are furious - They left out two ineligible players due to being cup-tied - they took the time to cheque their qualification/legality - why did no one at Hull bother with their merry-go-round of players signed by them at that time with players arriving to cover injuries etc. They are adamant that the extra advantage (as Hull were no great shakes against them), could have seen a different result.

This, as Matthew has pointed out, greatly tarnishes a once great cup competition and further devalues the credibility of the RFL administration.

Hull are cheats - thats my final say. Nothing, even if they win the competition (unlikely I know) will ever change that.

worst decision ever. Don't the clubs have to submit teams to rfl a few days before the game? How the hell did it happen twice?
