hmmm yeah right

1. got battered in hull 1985 by a gang of 20 thugs
2. always remember salford fans rioting in the aerly 90's throwing tables through the windows of the pub next to wallgate station (forgotten its name)
3. kicked off in the pubs in london when we were at wembley in the late 80's early 90's when some of our so called fans murdered a newcastle united supporter.

The only trouble I have ever seen at a rugby league game was with the Hull fans at a cup match if I can remember rightly, they also raided the pitch, I have been watching rugby league for 20 years and thats the only time. Mind you after Murrayfield when we beat saints, I have never felt as intimidated ever with their foul lauguage and threats and abusive towards Andrew Farrell's wife (which was utterly disgusting) but never seen trouble with the warriors fans ??? Say no more !!!!!!!

Was listening to GMR on the way home and some woman was saying that she was disgusted with the Hull fans as they were throwing things at people and cars and vandalising the cars on their way out...and they won. However Hull and Salford are hardly prime examples of civilised people are they! (no offence to any mancunians on here) There are obviously going to be some gangs either young or older that are trouble makers, they have to do something with their time but the fact is it is a very very small number of people and your examples again are not recent examples.

Only time I've seen any violence is when Hull played us two seasons ago at the JJB. An elvis and an Ali G ran onto the pitch and then punched the steward that moved them from the field of play.

It is well known that football hooligans use internet message boards and chat rooms to discuss / talk up violence at soccer matches (and to try to make themselves look clever).

Decent people come across the information and tell their friends, who tell their friends etc etc. The whole thing is encouraged by 'innocent' people advertising rumour and bravado of the mindless.

Us discussing the subject fans the flames for the idiots - I am all for censorship. Lets not discuss trouble at rugby matches as everyone is in agreement - it just doesn't happen at Wigan.
