Travel tips / advise for South France

For those about to depart these fair shores.
Few things that you may find of use.
Having just got back from Toulouse, it is chuffing hot in the south of France (well it was yesterday), hit 92.3f at 3:00pm.
Quite a bit of disruption with travel on Tuesday due to various fuel protests at Toulouse Blagnac and a 20 minute journey took me nearly an hour.
There was also news showing various blockades at the Spanish / French border, so allow extra time for travel if you can.
Exchange rate, as you have probably found out is rubbish at the moment, so be prepared for some expensive drinks (paid around 3.5 euro for a glass of beer in Toulouse centre).
