Ganson to ref Saints

Post by cpwigan »

v Leeds :badg:

The RFL are priceless.

Biggest game of the week, Ganson has a mare the previous week and guess what they give him the top game. Even worse his home town which puts him in a nightmare position.

How can an official coming back from injury, with awful fortm (failing to hear the hooter etc etc) be given the best game?

tbh I dont have a problem with it. Obviously saints fans will say they give leeds more penalties or leeds fans saying he's biased... rubbish.

Maybe people who will comment after the match will care to view all the other matches officials have refereed and comapre. Just people get into their heads it is going to be a problem because he is a Saint and if something goes against their club it's an obvious scapegoat.

My view is they are professional referees so will remain so

I of course, may be wrong but im open to crticism

This should be interesting to watch, both with Ganson refereeing, while up in the video referee box, is Ashley Klein.

PS: I thought that after Cardiff last year that these two were being kept apart for big games like this?? :conf: :conf: :o :o

300 penalties to saints then, and some dodgy tries awarded on benefit of the doubt
Saints are just wiganers who haven't fully evolved

it will certainly be interesting to watch and whether Ganson has a stormer or stinker fans will state

If leeds- "ganson gave sts everything"

if saints - "ganson gave leeds everything"

His performance is going to come under scrutiny and hopefully for the good of our game Ganson is consitant.

That is where I feel sorry for Ganson as he is in a no win situation. A bit like Thaler when he referees Wakefield games, or Bentham with Warrington games etc.

Feeling sorry for Ganson is not something that I expect to do in my lifetime. A committed stains fan and a arrogant gobsh!te who vastly overrates his own ability.

Hopefully Leeds will leave the game feeling badly done to and will be so fired up for the CC game that they blow stains completely off the park.

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

I wonder what Luke Robinson said to him...
Robinson, fined £300, was dismissed for aiming foul and abusive language at referee Steve Ganson in the second half of the Giants' 28-26 defeat.

The RFL seem to be doing their best to make a mockery of the game. No matter what Ganson does he is in a no win situation. It is putting him under so much pressure, referees get enough stick as it is without putting them in this situation.

I'm glad it's Leeds and not us. :D
