Wigan-bound Ruben Wiki

Post by Exiled Wiganer »

I was reading League express yesterday and, buried in the Aussie league section was a reference to "Wigan-bound Ruben Wiki" (it was in an article on players with beards, as it happens).
What a great signing that would be. He may be past his prime, but he is just what our pack and team needs - an inspirational stop at nothing leader of man. Strong and hard. He would transform our pack, and be superb for the young players...
Here's hoping there's some truth in it.

I'm inclined to agree, but if we signed him for any longer than one year we would be nothing short of stupid.

On the other hand, maybe we are just getting desparate to sign someone who will grab our pack by the scruff of its nexk, a la Faz, and drag them up the pitch. I'm torn on this rumour.

If we sign him for just 1 year i would be happy. A great pack leader who would influence the young forwards. More than a year would be too long after all he is 35.I would still prefer a 35 year old Wiki than Fielden who has been a total waste of money

Been having a browse on some Australian news sites and couldn't see much... last news story was 28th Feb '08...

Where would he fit in considering Fielden will stay, along with Feka, Coley and prescott, possibly eamonn...

Can anyone remember how old Craig Smith was when we signed him?

why is fielden still here...

it really does annoy me and makes me angry at how a player who wouldnt get into a national league side is getting into a wigan team and doing no work at all but still doesnt get dropped....

this is why i think noble needs a good slap in the face, he keeps picking the same s**t team every week and they arnt performing....

mathers has done nothing since he came.
fielden had like 3 good games and then shut up shop.
he never gave calders the opportunity so now hes going. ( correct me iv im wrong but calders scored 3 trys in that amazing game at odsal)

could someone remind me what our friend mr fielden did,
 ....

sorry but it had to be said...

Big Thumbs up for Ruben Wiki, Huge Thumbs down for Fielden. wasnt happy when he first signed and mentioned money, still not happy that he hasnt produced peformance enough to justify his huge salary. wouldnt be that bothered if Nobby left. Tony Smith would do a great job here. This Great club needs a great coach and Nobby hasnt done it for me. will prbably get slatted for saying that but sorry guys
