Remembering Eric Ashton

Post by codexiii »

Hi everyone

Following the great feedback we recieved last time this show was aired, Code XIII will be showing their tribute 'Remembering Eric Ashton' next Wednesday at 19:00.

Channel M is available on free to air channel 39 in Manchester, Virgin Media channel 878 in Greater Manchester, and nationally on Sky channel 203.

On another note, I know the question has been asked before but if you have a favourate classic game that you would like to see (preferable high scoring and a win to Wigan of course) then please either post it on this topic or send me a message with your suggestions and I will see what I can do. If you have any info on the game that will also help track it down.

Feedback is always appreciated as we make the show for you guys, so if there is anything you hear about, or anyone specific you would like to see feature in the programme, then again just get in touch and I will see if I can arrange anything. Or just generally tell us what you think!

Thanks everyone, hope you all have a fab weekend!

I really enjoy the programme. More so than Boots n All, SLS. The academy/reserve highlights are good. Wigan played Saints in an academy thriller last weekend. Any chance you could show some of that? Maybe the occasional feature 'star of the future' as this would allow you to cover all your NW clubs because often NL clubs have a future star in their ranks. Wigan has say Sam Tomkins.

One thing the Footy Show in Aus sometimes has is a controversy corner. So they have 3 or 4 RL figures discussing a hot current issue around the table so to speak.

A good game for CM classic highlights. Shaun Edwards 10 tries v Swinton. Wiganers might not enjoy it but Salford ending our unbeaten Challenge Cup run.

Unfortunately not. You should be able to get it on Sky but it depends on where the transmitters are.

Love to see the Manly game again at central park in the first world club challenge, if not the "Brett Kenny" '85 cup final against Hull FC... plenty of story points: tommy leuluai's dad... kenny's swansong, ferguson returning especially (with his cigs)

I really enjoy Code X111 and would love to see the 1985 c.c final again.

A classic 1985 Challenge Cup match is the earlier round tie, 3rd round between Wigan and Warrington at Wilderspool. It is the match where Fergie break away and Brett Kenny is running alongside him waving him on.

Another good Wire v Wigan one is WW3 about 1987/8. The match where Andy Goodway and Paul Cullen got sent off.
