Well done Stu!

Post by Wigan_forever1985 »

I have been slating him non stop but tonight he shut me up he was back to his best. before he got knocked out by carmont he was dominating the leeds pack and really fired up, i slated him when he was bad and i think its only fair i hold my hand up and say he was immense tonight and i was proud to have him as part of the team

He was better. It took ridicule and abuse to get that effort from him. Everybody needs to remember that. He clearly isn't the type who responds to encouragement and kind words.

Coley was still better IMO

Oh and the young O'Carrol did well too.

Impressive performance from Fielden improvement wise... played the game well. Although not in competition for places (feka injured and prescott) he was ready for this game.

Just hope the players remember we have KR away next weekend.

Say what?

Coley was the better prop. Fielden had a good 15 minutes and then started falling in tackles or being stopped. People want him to come good but he has got a long way to go. Countless garbage efforts. More importantly all you girl scouts saying awww stuey will come good did what? Squat. He finally woke up and realised people in the game were taking the P out of him.

The highest paid prop in the world has to play like the best prop in the world. Just remember that.

:slee: same old, same old. I'm not going to reply anymore after this post because I, along with many others on here, feel we are wasting our breath. Granted, he isn't as good as he was in the past but you only pick out the things he did wrong. The briefest mention of his determination to knock the ball dead and that's all the praise he gets from you. It's not his fault that he's getting paid as much as he is and I'm pretty sure that he doesn't go home at night and just counts the money and thinks "oh well, at least I'm getting well paid, no matter how I play". He was outstanding in defence and he only went off because he had taken a knock. Anyway, like I said, I'm not going to start rambling on, so that's all I'm saying. I really can't be arsed with some of the people on here any more. :conf:

If you cannot be arsed then do one. Better still act like an adult and argue your point. I like how you speak for all and sundry. Who appointed you? Robert Mugabe?

He had a better game. He was not MOM but that is a PR campaign on Nobbys part. That is a response, as is Fielden's to what those who employ him, fellow players, the RL media had started to say to his face. Namely that he was being taken the P out and all and sundry forwards were seeing him as an easy target. It showed tonight. The best period of play was when Peacock wound him up. Stuart Fielden does not need ass kissers he needs rollicking time and time again.

As for his wage. Yes it matters. It always has in every walk of life. It matters even more in a salary capped SL. Try telling Matt King how much you earn is irrelevant.

I have not slagged him off but was starting to wonder if the player I thought he was ever really existed , or it was the fact he had good team mates around him at the Bulls who aloud him to shine.
The last few games he has started to look better a different body language he seems to be happy!! he has not totally restored my faith but is on the way to doing just needs to kick on from here .
O'carol did great I have doubted him because of size but he was very good tonight and seems like he could prove my cocerns unfounded .
Coley was solid and worked his guts out the try saver on Webb was in the end a game winner .
All three played well I think Fielden gets the nod in the fact he stood up to the entire Leeds pack until he got the clash of heads with Carmont he was dominating well done lads you all played hard tonight .

God wrote: He was immense tonight and fully deserved his M.O.M but im still not convinced. Untill he shows consistancy he will still be known as a flop, 3 good games doesnt constitute god like appreciation from some fans.
Phelps has got God like status after tonight with some it seems  Double standards?

Yes I know Fielden is on a packet and he does need to play like this regularly and so he is expected to deliver (quite rightly) but I do find it funny after a good game you are "smug" about Phelps. It could go belly up for him next week or he could drop off form wise. I hope he doesn't because he was goods tonight but you seem quick to praise your favourites....
