Your Position if you played for Wigan?

i would be lucky 7, got the height, the width and the mouth to match a former warriors scrum half!

Plus played scrum half at school when we played rugby

Unfortunately it would change with age. Started as a centre. Played some stand off too. As the waist expanded and the years multiplied loose forward then to prop.

I was a decent left centre with a good right hand hand off,played above my age group etc but unfortunately I am of an age when RL was in the doldrums and they made us play Union so I ended up playing an awful lot of football instead.

Sounds silly now but back then if you were from Standish or Shevington, RL was virtually non existent.

I had the same problem in my day, my school only played Union, which I hated - usually stood on the wing shivering while the forwards messed about and the fullbacks kicked it to each other.

Me too my school only played union, I once played at full back, caught a high ball and beat 7 players to score under the posts. My teacher/coach who was also the coach of Morley Rugby Union (Wigan Academy once played there when Kevin Brown was a young 'un) at the time gave me a bollocking because I should have kicked the ball and they weren't 'looking for heroes'. A few weeks later we were set the task of writing out the positions for a rugby team. I deliberately wrote out the positions for a league team and spent the rest of my time at school running round the field when everyone else did sports.

If Dave started complaining about the lack of service I would have to chin him.

Mind you we would be good at sledging the opposition

He never keeps a straight defensive line Dave O and he is more of an umbrella defence man. Sliding defence may be too up to date for him. :eusa11:

Always wanted to play full back, never had the chance at school because we had a very good full back (who just happens to be in the Wigan squad)

I think the question is, who would be the captain??
