Few games left in the season. Last year it was quite obvious who our player of the season was, and rightly so Trent got the prestigious award with 58% of the vote:

2007

1. Chris Ashton 1% (1)
2. Mark Calderwood 1% (1)
3. Phil Bailey 0% (0)
5. Pat Richards 18% (18)
6. Trent Barrett 58% (57)
7. Thomas Leuluai 1% (1)
8. Stuart Fielden 0% (0)
9. Michael Higham 0% (0)
10. Iafeta Palea'aesina 10% (10)
11. Gareth Hock 0% (0)
12. Bryan Fletcher 1% (1)
13. Sean O'Loughlin 1% (1)
14. David Vaealiki 0% (0)
16. Shane Millard 1% (1)
18. Paul Prescott 0% (0)
19. Harrison Hansen 2% (2)
20. Darrell Goulding 4% (4)
21. Danny Hill 0% (0)
22. Joel Tomkins 0% (0)
23. Liam Colbon 1% (1)
24. Eamon O'Carroll 0% (0)
25. Michael McIlorum 0% (0)

Who for 2008?

I have gone for Paaaaaaat Richards. SL top points scorer (currently) and has adapted well to canges of position and coped reasonably well... has few bad games and seems to enjoy playing at/ for Wigan

Richards or Carmont for me at the moment....although i think Hock could push depending on how far we go in the play offs.

....providing we make the 6!

The problem with Hock is that he hasn't, in my view, played enough. Yes he has had 60% good games for us the rest are just team-level performances... If he was fit from the start of the season then I'd reckon he could push richards... speaking of whom... way out in the lead with 10 votes from 13 I think.

Eamon O'carroll.

After 88% of the board had a go at me last year for berating his Holyness O'Loughlin and then trying to drum it into me that Lockers was the greatest player in Super League and that any Team would take him, it is rather laughable that he only picked up one vote, in the words of Peter Kay "What's all that about" :D

Without a shadow of a doubt Richie Mathers, but he was pushed all the way by Karl Pryce and Paul Koloi...

Carmont is the player of the season for me . We know Pat Richards can kick and can catch a ball , but he runs soft , never runs his weight , having nothing against him as he`ld be exceptional in a good team , but it`s Georgey for me . The best centre we`ve had since Renouf or Connolly .
