I never walk off during a match. But last night I went .Could not stand any more. Ok we had 12 men and we made an effort , but there are no set moves, no one runs on to the ball hard, and when we start getting stu==ed they all go to sleep.
Nobby is an up the middle coach the wingers never see the ball, and he plays his favourites whether they play well or not.
For me we have not had a good coach since the sad departure of Mike Greg (RIP).
Get Tony Rea or Shaun McCrae.

In my fantasy coach head I would like The Mighty EDWARDS and MR HANLEY.
Never gonna happen.
Rant done.!!

I thought the possibility of GB Coach Tony Smith or (some were saying) stains original target for coach - Justin Morgan! :doz:

Rubbish... Noble is a top coach one of the best in the business, he is working with players that are just not good enough that simple.

I don't think Noble is one of the best in the business but I also don't think last nights performance is a reason to get rid.

Whether people want to see it as a convenient excuse for Noble or not, the fact we played most of the game with 12 men determined the course of the game in terms of how it was played and the result. It's pointless debating virtually anything about the game except Klein IMO.

As to the players I agree they are just not good enough. The trouble is our "best in the business" coach has re-signed most of them for next year!

I have no doubt Noble will ensure we are mediocre next year once again by completing the job by giving Colbon a new deal (and what's worse actually playing him).

There will I think be plenty more occasions to show Noble is not a top coach but last night just was not it.

Can't argue with DaveO on this one. We never had a chance once McIlorum went, Saints can take full strength teams apart easily enough never mind 12 men and a dodgy referee!

Will say this though for the first time, last night, I felt disillusioned with the team. Even with 12 men they did they didn't help themselves players throwing suicide offloads and this constant tactic of running it up the middle when we have one of the best standoffs in the world!

Therein I think lies the crux, 12 man defeats you can tolerate but the ooor decision making from the coach to the players, the sheer resignation to defeat. You can actually remain competitive with 12 players for an awfully long time. However, you need to adopt a different mindset. There was no attempt to slow the game up, to waste time, to get breathers and THEN slog your guts out.
