I agree and having read Wakefield's summary again it seems to me to say they are rubbish! So how they retained their status based on what the RFL actually said about them I really don't know.

The RFL either bricked it and could not bring themselves to dump an existing club or the viewed Wakey as "less bad" then the NL1 sides because they certainly are not very good. How they could have done the latter with Wakey v Widnes I am not sure!

I think the possession is 9 / 10ths of the law rule applied to a RFL that lacked the bottle to make a controversial decision. Selecting Widnes would have created a tremendous backlash given their past financial problems

FOOTNOTE Man Utd are the most successful sports organisation in the UK and they are dependent upon shareholders.

I wanted Widnes and Leigh, Salford and Celtics to come up.

I new it wasnt possible.

Need to get as many north west teams back into super league.

pedro wrote:it sounds a joke as they said they classed facilities as key. When you look at Cas, Wakefield and Celtic. They all say old but well maintained (they musnt have been to Cas or Wakey). Lewis said Cas are on he way to start building. It will prob take 3 years so in that case they should apply then. Celtic dont even have an academy. Its a shambles.

Feel sorry for Leigh and Widness as they saw their short comings and did something about it.

When Wakey were promoted they did so with the promise they would improve their ground, they should be kicked out due to them just lying about it.

Least we all know why the magic weekend really isnt in Wales next year.
Celtic have got an academy as well as 5 national pools around wales.

They have a national academy and also the celtic crusaders colts who are playing in NL3.

I tend to agree that there is a definate East Pennine bias.

HKR, Wakey and Cas should have gone for me.

Agree Wakey should have gone on basis of their ground alone.
Although as a team they don't do badly.
As mentioned a case of the rfl making up their own rules again.
Would like to have seen Widnes back in Super league, too many yorks sides.
Wonder if we'll get Crusaders 1st match next year like we did when Cats came in the league.
