Player Power

Post by medlocke »

we may be destroying Hull, but imo what a pee take to the fans, you don't play as shite as we have in the past 3 games, then turn on the charm like we are doing tonight, has the problem been resolved, where they like that due to the lack of back room staff, is IL going to bring in more trainers/conditionaers/man managers etc due to our shody form of late, will Nobby be on his way, has the team been banned from King Street or am i just talking shite

Great result tonight, but your absolutely right, one good performance doesnt forgive the crap we have had to put up with this season. We still need to know the reasons behind the last three weeks. Lets hope this is the start of the turnaround. All credit to the fans that turned up and showed what we are all about.....LOYALTY.......no matter what.
And on the seventh day, God created Edwards.

The players after the match were walking down the tunnel didnt come across to the East stand like they used too .Only Stu Fielden came across to the East and South the rest stood near the tunnel clapping PLAYER POWER.

yeah. I noticed that the players didn't come across. The win was the most important aspect by far, and that was fantastic, but it would have been nice.

They normally stand in the middle for a bit and then clap the east, then south and then the west as they go in. Why didn't they tonight?

Fair play to fielden for doing, thought he played well tonight.

They all played well - we know what they can do and they proved it tonight... to play 'sh***' last 3 games and then come up with that performance we all know something is up behind the scenes maybe things have cleared

add this clearance of air with the 'shock' of a (another)'fresh start' and we should do well into the playoffs...

just hope it is the last of 'another fresh starts' this season.

Whatever Fielden's faults - at least it seems to matter to him - hopefully this is rubbing off on the players

Fair play to Feilden - let's hope the fans get behind him and he gets back in to contention for a place in the World Cup squad.

Perhaps a chant is in order?

Let's be honest it was a great night but Hull were awful. Not sure how much tackling we hadd to do but I bet it was 50-75% less than a normal SL match. They coughed up the ball time and time again. Yeoman looked less of the player his reputation suggests. Tommy Lee was poor too.

As Medlocke and others say frustrating because most of us know they have the ability.

Not clapping the crowd etc. Maybe just maybe the players do not think they deserve praise, reciprocal applause etc. I daresay they are thinking what we are. It's next week and the week after that matters.

In all fairness CP we did not let Hull play we harrased them in every tackle.
