If so he will be missed. His presence and class is a big part of this side.

Although on the plus side it gives Smith another 80 minutes to show what he can do. Nevertheless with or without Barrett I'm confident of a win.
Pretty reliable he text me on Friday last week to say Barrett was,nt playing against Les Cats.

There's something in the WEP where Nobby says Barrett is only 50/50 for tonight, but he'll give him until kickoff before deciding. But that's far less positive than earlier in the week so I'm assuming he's not playing.

I saw that earlier, and this bit made me wonder...
Noble added: "Other factors come into play regarding Trent and hopefully we'll soon be preparing for the play-offs, so we have to make sure that he is 100% ready.
Does that mean he's just resting him to concentrate on the Leeds & Saints games, or is there something else going on?

Totally agree. Games like this are tailor made for blooding players like Sam. We have Tommy, Timmy, Higham, & Mcllorum all playing, with Phelps providing all round cover. Wakefield are going through a bad patch, even if he only had a twenty minute run out, I am sure he would gain more from this than playing against bottom of the league Cas Reserves tomorrow.
These are the type of games that Saints target to bring Kyle Eastmond through.
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

Yes it does ,his wife & family have gone home weeks ago and he wants to go home to.He is not happy with a few things going on at Wigan.IL comments are one and their is a problem in the back ground.

He is not happy with the IL comments nor with Noble as a coach. I actually think Il's commment was harsh and an easy target and I know Noble has not treated Trent (screaming at him on the training pitch for making suggestions) well and used his knowledge (refused to accept offers of help with tactics etc) However, it was Trent that got the players together and focussed post Huddersfield.

Cp well done with Mods vote & Josie too.I have to agree with your comments that IL comments were harsh and directed at a player who has an outstanding talent & who is very professional in the way he conducts himself both on and off the pitch
