If Wigan do sign this Aussie prop cum second rower rumoured on here, then it will he highly unlikely that either Carvell OR Fozzard will end up at Wigan.

The Feka Move
The Feka Move
Info come my way that they have decided to put the Feka move on hold until later in the year, in other words they have given him a reprieve for the time being, however it still hangs over his head they have told him that he still may be going.
The good news is that he has not signed for anyone else as yet but the pen is sitting on the paper waiting.
He is busting a gut to stay and knows he most improve with his fitness.

Someone ought to tell him the club are in no position to "give him a reprieve". He has a contract and the club must honour it.Wigan Watcher wrote:The Feka Move

If the only issue is his fitness and the club did suggest he was on his way out if he didn't improve it, then I am pretty disgusted with those in charge. Issuing threats is no way to manage anyone in any organisation.
I am one who thinks he could do with shedding some weight but threatening someone with the end of their Wigan career is a ridiculous and unacceptable way to deal with the situation IMO.

Once again I cannot agree more but unfortunately this is a fact of life, it happens in most jobs doesn’t it..
“If you don’t get that finished then you’re down the roadâ€
Most people will have heard those type of words at some point!
I would think most players know that if they don’t perform then they are gone or ostracised. I have seen it at every level in rugby league.
P.S. To the very nice MOD who moved this NEW thread: I can understand why you have moved it but I think because it is different news on Feka it should have not been added to this thread.
Same person different news!
(old news he was going…..new news he is not)

IL own words we would be mad to let him leave!! he's going no where and the club havnt given him a reprieve.

That was me. Still belongs in the rumour mill, and it's still a "Feka move" rumour.Wigan Watcher wrote:

I take your point, but otherwise we'd have 12 different threads saying Feka to Hull/Wire/Saints/Brisbane/St. Pats/etc.
Re: The Feka Move
It may have done in the past but I'd say these days most personnel managers are scared witless of constructive dismissal charges, which is what this boils down to. I speak from recent experience with my own employers who when making people redundant have been sticklers for towing the legal line.Wigan Watcher wrote: Once again I cannot agree more but unfortunately this is a fact of life, it happens in most jobs doesn’t it..

I bet you haven't seen it since SL went full time at the SL level. We have had (and have at the moment) players who we all think the club would rather get rid of but they have or are seeing their contracts out.I would think most players know that if they don’t perform then they are gone or ostracised. I have seen it at every level in rugby league.
I think your source is winding you up.

Very true - why "easily" force out Feka, yet the club could not get a grenade launcher to remove the rubbish that was David Vaealiki!DaveO wrote: We have had (and have at the moment) players who we all think the club would rather get rid of but they have or are seeing their contracts out.

Re: A Sad Feka to Hull
If the club wanted rid of Feka couldn't they have just terminated his contract for gross misconduct when he got done for assault?? It seems strange given that we have quickly shipped out other players who have done (or been accused of) similar things, but we have stood by Feka who (according to some) we are desperate to get rid of.
