Its just goes to show that mr lawrenson know absolutely nothing about rugby league & the fact that it is a summer sport. The season goes from the end of January to the Start of September. The last game to be played at the JJB stadium will be at the end of August.

If he did do any research he would have found out the problem with the pitch was due to poor drainage & not caused by the Wigan Warrior Rugby League team.

Also Dave Wheelen has publicly stated this in the national press. So either mr lawreson is ignorant or just stirring things up for his own amusement

Am not surprised that the so called football pundits like to have a dig at the rugby team re the state of pitch. When Whelan virtually accuses the rugby team of ruining the pitch, surely gormless idiots like Lawrenson will go along with it. Whelan ain't going to admit that he cut corners when laying the pitch in the first place is he.
