Because if you hadnt noticed we have one of the smaller squads in super league and thats patched up with young 18 year olds who hardly get a game. I mean who knows what maurice does witht the money but it would be good to see a squad like leeds and bradford where players have to fight for places

Why don't we swap Brian Carney for John Hopoate from Manly? At least he'd guarantee to pull his finger out for us ( probably after every tackle!)

According to Superleague website (could be out of date):-
Bradford 24 players
Leeds 27
Saints 26
Wigan 26 (28 on our website omitting Farrell) and only 1 18 yr old

Point taken. It is frustrating that the powers that be provide us with a squad matching other teams in number but sorely lacking experience. Given that all clubs are paying the maximum re salary cap we probably have the most unbalanced squad in Superleague.

True, other squads have younger players but they have at least had some game time, i think we forget the likes of tickle and hock are only young as well, ubt if they are good enough to be in the squad they should be good enough to get some game time

No-one knew how one sided the Leigh game turned out to be but in hindsight we wasted the chance to give Prescott and Hargreaves extended game time. I suppose the trouble was losing at London - we had to come back really convincingly from that

True or at least one of them, i thought coyle might have got some time on as well because he was in the 18man squad, even if it was only 20mins or something

think of neville, neville, scholes giggs, butt, and beckham at man u they all came through as youngsters together and look what they achieved . ferguson was 1 game from the sack then he started to give the young lads a bit of first team experience hopefully we are on the same route . dennis could end up with a knighthood too :D

I doubt if any of the other clubs could have coped with our injury situation as well as we have.
Whether our injuries are just bad luck, the state of the pitch or poor conditioning/fitness is another matter.

Latest on Carney tucked away in this report...
