True, but I still think it was the right decision, as I said at the time, given what we'd have had to pay to keep him, he wasn't worth that much.

How do you know his exact wages??? Are you surmising this is his salary? Or has someone in the club who pays the salaries told you? Other than that you/we/I have no idea what each individual player is earning.

Wayne Godwin was on 13k when he left cos he was being offered 20k at Hull and this I was told by a person who was high up in the club at the time.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
