tomorrow the big day!

Post by ferreira »

tomorrow the day where clubs officially sign players? and this is a interesting rumor terry newton had a phone call from terry o'connor to join him at windnes play for a few seasons then join the coaching team! and this is a rumor from some of his family members, but it was discussed before the clubs got there super league license, so maybe it wont happen now, also an interesting thing is trent barrett last season phoned terry newton up asking him to come back to wigan because he wanted to play with him at wigan.. trent was ASKED BY NOBLE TO DO THIS! after the come back game last season trent spent a good half an hour chatting too him trying to persuade him to come back.

well the day ian millward signed as wigan coach was the day terry newton said he was leaving his motive was to play for brian nobble who at the time was coach for GB, he still lives in wigan and owns 16 properties im sure it would be more simple for him to play for wigan than bradford and we have shown interest it just showing the MONEY!

Carney signs for Giants.
NRL bad boy moves to Huddersfield

Huddersfield Giants have completed the signing of 22-year-old Australian Todd Carney.

The half-back, who was sacked from Aussie club Canberra Raiders after refusing to accept a drinking ban, will join the Giants for the 2009 Super League season.

The youngster received the ban in July following allegations that he urinated on a man in a nightclub.

This was the latest in a number of alcohol-related incidents including his involvement in a high-speed car chase while serving a drink-drive ban last year.

But despite his rocky past, incoming Giants coach Nathan Brown, who will arrive at Huddersfield in the close season, is pleased with the signing.

He told The Sun: "I'm obviously well aware of his past, but there's no way I would have taken him on board if I wasn't convinced. I'm sure he'll be fine.

"I know he sees this move as something of a lifeline. This is the chance for him to get his career well and truly back on track.

"There is no question he is one of the most talented players in the NRL. And, because of his age, he's a player on the way up rather than on the way down."
