I think Mathers only has a 'better' game when he doesn't do anything wrong- he never has a good game where his contribution is noticable in a positive way from what you would expect as a minimum.

the guy can't tackle 1-on-1 and this is obviously a massive problem when there is a break away- he got bumped off again last night but someone managed to cover or stains would have been through.
NOBLE OUT PLEASE- YOU'VE HAD TIME AND NOW MY PATIENCE HAS RUN OUT!

IT'S ONE THING TO LOSE, IT'S ANOTHER TO PLAY DIRE AND BORING RL AND THEN LOSE!

Better than what?

He looks hopeless under a high ball. Last night he missed at least 2 that I remember. I have no confidence in any of his "abilities"

An improvement on crap doesnt make good. HE may have improved still doesnt mean he had a good game.

Give the lad a chance, when he gets his confidence back he will be a great player again, just like Fielden. Watch him go next year.

If this guy is our fullback for next year then we have very big problems, very big indeed.

We debate things on here and the odd person says, " Well Noble is the coach and he would know better than most"

Well take it from me and Im a Noble follower I like the guy...

He has lost the plot on this one..

Nice one Mikey, I thought he played better tonight and am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for next season. He needs confidence and I think last night will lift him. Well done Richie.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I was very dissapointed when it was announced he was staying, but after last night I think you may have a point. He is staying so for now let's see haw he does. I thought there was a big improvement and I am ready to be shown I was wrong.
