i agree with pearl

the club should lay on free transport at least

more importantly IL must surely have known about the 48 hr rule

possible venue not considered is Reebok staduim ( wonder if anything can be done about doing a deal with Bolton ) but then again they are a premier ship club and would not want us palying on there hallowed grass either

Wigan is and always will be a town of Cherry & White

Wigan Chairman, Ian Lenagan, said:

“The players performed extremely well against St Helens on Friday night to earn a home game, strongly supported by the Wigan fans, and we are naturally disappointed that the JJB cannot be made available for our Play-Off game against the Bradford Bulls on Friday night”.

“We have explored fully with the RFL the options of playing on Thursday or Sunday but neither is possible for competition integrity issues and we prefer to play on a North West ground of our choice”.

“We are looking at all options to facilitate as many of our fans travelling on Friday since we would like to make the chosen venue as much a Wigan venue as possible."

that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

mrs feka wrote:I think the time is right for us to leave the jjb it's not been the best for us and we always have to jump through hoops for the flaming footy lot.
IF Mr L has the funds and can find a suitable venue then yes lets have our own club and knickers to football lot.
Pity Orrell has been sold off for housing etc, would have been ideal for us.
It unfortunatley comes down to ££££. and how much Mr. L is commited to put in to the club for a new stadium, he did actually make reference to this at the 1st fans forum.
But then again he made lots of promises he's not been able to deliver yet.
Why the Bloody Hell should we have to switch? Why can't Wigan Nil play Sunday??

Whelan got 2 million for Central Park. Springfield Park went for 3 tins of Beans and Sausages!! This stinks!!

Latics will never be a force. Their biggest annual achievement is staying in the Premier. And that is all it will ever be!

I doubt leaving the JJB is that easy. The lease being extended to 50 years will not have been for free. The landlords will want our tenancy to continue so they can make money from it.

So there will be a clause in the lease stating how long we must remain there as a minimum.

The solution in future is to get a bit of cooperation from Latics and the RFL to get Latics to have any home game during the play-offs played on a Monday evening and our games always the Friday fixture. It's not going to be more than two games ever (that is the most home ties you can get in the play offs).
